Much of the time, your indoor cats will be sleeping on your bed, on their bed, on the sofa, or on the floor in a patch of sunlight. Cats sleep around 18 hours a day, but the rest of the time, they're active and need stimulation. To make sure you encourage your cats in the right sort of way, browse the list of cat toys below and consider your options.

Senses Circuit Cat Toy

If there's one thing cats love, it's chasing things, balls especially, and balls with lights – even better. The senses circuit is a circular tube made of clear plastic; there are paw sized holes in the plastic and a ball inside within reach of those paws

Your indoor cats will love to paw the ball and make it roll, and each time the ball rolls, it lights up, making it extra interesting. This will surprise you cat, in turn, they will pounce after it once again and stay entertained for a while. It will make you smile when you hear the sound of the ball rolling.

Bergan Turbo Cat Scratcher

Cats love to scratch. They like to get their claws into some nice material and stretch out their paws. This is satisfying for cats but perhaps not so satisfying for cat owners who watch their sofas and carpets turn to shreds or try to protect their best armchair.

One solution is the Bergan cat scratcher. It's a circular toy with corrugated cardboard in the centre and a small ball around the side. Some catnip can be added to the cardboard to create interest. With one of these in the room; your anxiety levels should drop significantly.

Petfusion Ambush Toy

It feels like everything is becoming digital and automatic these days, and cat toys are no exception. Maybe you love playing with a dancing feather with your indoor kitten, but it does get tiresome after a while, but there's no need to tire with the Petfusion.

The Petfusion is a thick disc-shaped structure that contains a motor and a feather. The feather appears at one of the sides, enticing your cat; it then disappears and reappears somewhere else. Have hours of fun watching your indoor cat chase the feather.

Tower of Tracks

If your cat isn't satisfied with one tower, why not give them more – how does three sound? The tower of tracks is three tracks stacked, one on top of the other. There is a ball or two inside that runs up and down the tracks giving your cat plenty to be curious about. The tower of tracks is also made to be sturdy and long-lasting. This is a toy you won't have to replace for some time.

Smarty Cat Concealed Motion

Cats are natural predators – at least they're meant to be – in reality, a lot of them aren't much good at this; still, it's in their nature and an inborn instinct. This needs to be encouraged, especially if your cat is in a particular mood.

The Smartycat concealed motion is perfect for this; it is a small motor that attaches to a small mouse with a flexible wand. The motor spins and the wand moves, giving your cat something to hunt. All of the mechanisms are concealed, so the movements are random for your cat.
